ABOUT KHOM FABRICS

Khom Fabrics, a distinguished sub-brand of the renowned Khomapastr, traces its origins to a historic Thai printing house nestled in Hua Hin. Established in 1948 by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Bovoradej and Her Serene Highness Pajongchitr Kridakorn, Khomapastr has flourished under the stewardship of three generations of visionary women. This legacy has transformed the printing house into a pioneering female-led enterprise, celebrated for its commitment to preserving Thailand's rich textile heritage.

At the heart of Khom Fabrics lies a community commerce business model, rooted in the founding ethos of fostering apprenticeship training, supporting family care, and perpetuating artisan craftsmanship. This approach not only sustains cultural traditions but also promotes economic empowerment within local communities.

Join us on our journey as we continue to innovate, honour our heritage, and shape the future of Thai textiles with creativity, sustainability, and community at our core.

“SLOW is more than the time it takes to complete something. Its qualities connect us deeply to past traditions and a sustainable future, while informing us in the present. Whether by hand or machine, individual artistic enterprise or commercial endeavour, slow textiles are a means of cultural expression in a community or personal exploration.”
